Nipa and mangrove tunnels out to the main river. Our boat was about an inch from being flooded, along with all of our camera equipment. Crisis narrowly avoided these evening.

Tonight, Lary, me, and four of his cousins went off in search of this one shot: a long-exposure with fireflies. Our hypothesis involved a river and a boat. What we got was so beyond that and such a fun night. Sketchy canoes, awesome photos, many laughs, and being terrified of soaking our equipment made for a real memorable night.
The above photo isn’t that great, but all the other ones are!

One of my favorite homes away from home.
Camping this week started off a bit eery. The night before we hiked into the mountain, we stayed down below at on of the guides’ houses. I got woken up that night by a few small earthquakes, and began to rethink the idea of camping at this spot they called the “landslide” on the most active volcano in the PI. All turned out well though : )

We blacklighted at this house the night before we camped on Kanlaon.

I like to think they’re talking about how badly the geothermal plant ruined the land that they live on.
